Programme Manager
In 2002, Rez completed his PhD at Aberdeen University. In 2006 he moved to Newcastle Fertility Centre as a Postdoctoral Research Associate to produce Human Embryonic Stem Cells for Clinical use. During this period, he worked closely with clinicians and scientists within the NHS and being inspired by the impact they had on patients, in 2012 became the Quality Development Manager for the Newcastle Fertility Centre.
In this role he enjoyed working very closely with clinicians, nurses, embryologist and administrative staff to ensure compliance with regulation whilst also being responsible for meeting national targets. During this period, Rez also initiated and oversaw refurbishment of the Fertility Laboratory and management of the administration team. In January 2021, he moved to Scotland to be employed as the Programme Manager for the Strategic Network and is excited to be working across the NHS fertility sector in Scotland.
