What is the purpose of this document?

To aid healthcare professionals in NHS Scotland in clinical decision making about the appropriate and effective care of patients with viral infections undergoing MAR with a view to prevent horizontal and vertical transmission before, during and after MAR.
To align and promote the adoption of best practice across NHS Scotland utilising a ‘One Scotland’ approach.
